1. Virtue in Sawm (Fasting)

Fasting is one of the most powerful forms of remembering Allah. During fasting, Muslims stay away from food, drink, and sinful behavior, which keeps their hearts and minds focused on Allah. It reminds us of His blessings and teaches gratitude. By fasting sincerely, a person increases their awareness of Allah’s presence throughout the day.

2. Taqwa (Consciousness of Allah)

Taqwa means being constantly aware of Allah in everything we do—fearing His punishment, hoping for His mercy, and obeying His guidance. A person with taqwa always remembers Allah before making any decision. True fasting builds taqwa, because it teaches us to act with sincerity even when no one else is watching, purely for Allah’s sake.

3. Recite the Quran

The Quran is the word of Allah, and reading it is one of the best ways to remember Him. Especially during Ramadan, Muslims are encouraged to read, reflect on, and live by the Quran. Every verse read is a form of zikr, bringing peace to the heart and strengthening our relationship with Allah. The more we understand the Quran, the deeper our connection to Allah becomes.
