I need background noise or something to help me focus. I feel like I cannot concentrate when it is just completely silent. For an example, whenever I am driving you will never find me without music. It almost helps me drive better when I have music on. When I am sleeping, I must be listening to music, however I cannot fall asleep with the tv on because the light bothers me and I find myself trying to watch it. I feel like silent films are a lost art, and that since we are so prone to talkies that we should value silent films.
