I took a lot of artistic risks, and worked off of my failures. Just going with the flow. Originally I was making a fist marked cup. I took a risk and punched the mold of clay, forming a crater around my hand, naturally bending into a shape that could be a mouth. Working off of this idea I worked to shape a fish, then it looked like a hippo, so finally, once I got the form done, I made it look like a hippo. I learned how to form glaring eyes and snarling noses, really put my best effort into it and am more than satisfied.
