Instead at school, math helps to develop critical thinking in our students and to be creative in  problem solving and finding solutions. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I usually do some activities with my pupils to show as the mathematics is in everyday life or in nature, often we go around for our school garden to observing and measuring the plants. </div><div>I usually divide the lesson in two parts, a part in which my pupils can make experience and a part in which they can apply the knowledges acquired by the reality.<br>In general the activities  are:</div><ul><li>play to sell and buy products of everyday life,</li><li> measure their own height, </li><li> measure materials to create crafts,</li><li>measure the classroom or the school garden to understand the measure of lenght,</li><li>sometimes  we make some recipe like salami of chocolate,</li><li>observe and draw the leaves of the plants,</li><li>measure the time and the temperature.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Science and mathematics are integrally related. Mathematics, to a great extent, is the language of science. By analyzing and interpreting data - and using mathematical and computational thinking- students experience how math is a tool that helps to explain the world around us.<br>Science experiences contribute to the development of other operations basic to the study of mathematics. Some of these operations are: conserving substance and length, one-to-one correspondence, ordering, seriating, and classifying.<br>Students develop numeracy capabilities as they investigate concepts fundamental to Geography. They calculate scale, distance on the map or real distance on Earth. One of the most common task is to calculate the real area of a place using the map scale. They apply numeracy skills in geographical analysis by counting and measuring, constructing and interpreting tables and graphs, calculating and interpreting statistics and using statistical analysis.</div>]]></description>
