This virtual inquiry was adapted from a Library of Congress TPS Professional Development Activity originally designed to introduce teachers or students to primary sources. Click on the document image above if you want to read the original PD Plan or save it to your computer for future reference.

We have changed the images to relate to our audience and our topic under study. It will be used as an icebreaker for educators to introduce themselves to colleagues who will be designing inquiry activities for pre-service teachers. You can make a copy of this Padlet and customize it for your own students. Just click the second button in the menu on the right, which will say, Remake Padlet. You will need an individual or school account to export the Padlet. Padlet offers a free account that gives you three active Padlets or 9.99 a month for 20 active Padlets.

Open this file to read an explanation in their own words as to why the pre-service teachers selected these primary sources for use in their lesson and unit plans for their pre-student teaching field placements. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QdtW7MiXwmwNdHnPqT-Y-Cy_fhe-7-D5hTzB29TewaA/edit
