The Japanese Occupation, and the American Revolution is the same because they are both wars, and during the wars the invaders wanted to take over the countries. In this case, the British wanted to take over America in one event, and the Japanese wanted to take over Asia in the other event. Another similarity is both wars started in America. (The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.)

However, the differences in the wars were they started because Japan wanted to take over countries, but in the American Revolution, the Americans just wanted freedom.

American advertisement: The advertisement shows Japanese killing yank prisoners in the Philippines, and also showing them walk the March of Death. The background shows a line of prisoners forced on the March of Death. The foreground shows a Japanese soldier whacking a prisoner with the butt of his gun. To recruit more people to join the American army to fight of the Japanese. The audience were the people reading the sign. The Filipinos were wearing normal clothes (rags) and the Japanese were wearing army clothes, and they had guns.

I notice there are a bunch of small kids squished on a bed. I see that seven kids are on a bed, and on the sides of the bed are small brown packages. I also notice that the blanked is made out of different types of cloth, and are sewn together. This makes me think that the people taking care of the children are poor. I think the note written on the back of the postcard is most important. Except, we can barely read the note! This makes me think that the person writing the letter was in a rush. We also notice that on the postcard, there are 2 stamps. This makes me think that the postcard went a long way to get to the person who received it. I have a strong reaction to why there are so many kids on one bed, and why the person chose this certain picture to send.

We are learning about Singapore's History. The video is mostly about WW2 in Singapore, and how the Japanese used a lot of violence to defeat the British. They showed how Singapore looked in WW2, and the present time. We think they showed this so that we understand how hard it was to live in WW2. The most important part of the video is to see how the Japanese won. We had a strong reaction to how the British treated the people of Singapore (the Coolies, the Indians, etc.). They had to carry British people around! The message is to show what people went through during WW2 in Singapore, and also to keep trying. I didn't expect that the British would think themselves so much higher than other people in Singapore. We notice that a lot of innocent people were killed, and we also noticed that before the war, everyone in Singapore was happy. I think this video is intended for people that want to learn about WW2, and Singapore's history. Watching this video, we can connect because we fight with our siblings. We want to learn more about how the British treated people of Singapore. We can find this out by researching.

We're Gonna Hang Out the Washing on the Siegfried Line:

They're talking about going to a Siegfried Line. The sentences that caught our attention were; Whether the weather may be wet or fine, we'll just ride without a care, mother dear I'm writing from somewhere in France, and Sergeant says. These caught our attention, because it makes us think that they're talking about going to war. Also, it says that he's writing to his mom, he doesn't know where exactly he is, and also they mentioned a sergeant, which means he's probably a soldier. The point of view is a British soldier. We think this because at the end, there's a British flag. We don't think there is an audience for this song. We think the composers felt happy while writing and singing this song, because it sounds very jolly. We think the composers want us to know how proud and happy the British soldiers felt while going to war, because they've won many.

The "first" thing we noticed was the header of the newspaper that is very bold and large. It says: Nazis Raid London - And 13 Towns. We can learn that the Nazis invaded SO many countries. In this case, 13 towns in London. From examining this it tells us that this big event happened in 1940. This newspaper is mostly about the Nazis and them invading London, it takes up more than half of the newspaper. The Nazis bombed London to be more specific. We think this message is to show what the Nazis did around the world to other countries. It shows how an enemy aircraft was spotted approaching London. This also shows how the Nazis' bad tactics effected people. We have a very strong reaction to finding out how the R.A.F. pilot was badly injured in a crash between his aircraft and a Nazis'. We noticed the people that made this newspaper was very bias against Nazis'. We think this newspaper came from London because this newspaper was saying how bad Nazis' were. We think the writer of this newspaper wrote this to get people to hate Nazis'. We think this newspaper was intended for the people in London.

It is really important to know how many people died in the Holocaust. We can learn how many victims died during the Holocaust. The people who created this were probably interested in how many people died (historyonthenet.com). Before we knew that many people died in Germany, but now we see that Germany had the sixth most deaths, and the most people died in Poland. What surprises us is the number of people who died. 3 million people died in Poland, and 25,000 people died in Belgium. We are wondering if the numbers are just guesses, or if they are exact. If someone created this today, the difference would be drastic because currently, there isn't a world war.
