         <title>1. The French and Indian War </title>

This lays the foundation for tension between Britain the 13 Colonies. </div><div><br>-The British forced the American colonists to fight the french which upset the colonists. They did not want to be apart of a war that was no theirs.<br><br>-After the British won the war, at the peace conference in 1763, the peace treaty strengthened the American colonies by removing their European rivals to the north and south which opened the opportunity for westward expansion.</div>]]></description>

Great Britain would be defeated by the Colonies in the revolutionary War. </div>]]></description>
