The cons of dropping the atomic bomb was that it killed/wounded 130,000 innocent people that wanted the war to be over too, and destroyed cities. I do not agree with Trumans decision, because of how many people the atomic bomb killed, and there were risks involved in dropping the bomb too, the bomb could of have not of detonated, or the Japanese couldve responded violently. Dropping the bombs did cause a lot of damage, lead to other countries building atomic bombs, and kill many Japanese citizens, but if they hadn't dropped them there would have been the same amount of casualties, if not more, for the US soldiers and Japanese soldiers.
