April 1967 von den Schaustellern Gotlieb Löffelhardt und Richard Schmidt gegründet. Am Rande eines Sees (heute Mondsee) entstand ein Märchenpark.
Dazu kamen eine Oldtimer Fahrt, eine Westerneisenbahn und ein Abenteuerspielplatz als Attraktionen dazu. Schon im ersten Jahr wurden 400.000 Besucher gezählt.
Zahlreiche Attraktionen und Expansionen waren die Folge.

Die Wickinger Bootsfahrt (heute Wakobato), wurde 1981 eröffnet. 1984 Wurden die ersten 2 Achterbahnen (Bob 1&2) geöffnet.

Ab 1988 Folgten Colorado Adventure (1996) und Space Center (1988) als Ergänzung.

Das Wahrzeichen des Phantasialands, das Mystery Castle, wurde 1998 Eröffnet. Hierbei handelt es sich um einen Intamin Bungee Drop Tower, der in Europa einmalig ist. 

Allerdings gab es auch einen Gewaltigen Rückschlag, dem wir Taron und Raik bzw. Klugheim verdanken können. Ein Kabelbrand fiel der Gebiergsbahn und der Grand Canyoun Bahn zu Opfer. Viele Menschen mussten aus dem Park evakuiert werden. Auch das Tangadra Theater in China Town wurde verbrannt. 
Die Eröffnung von Wuze Town, mit den Winjas double Spinning Coaster von Maurer wurde um 1 Jahr auf 2002 Verschoben. 


Ab diesem Jahr kahmen dann das Erste Hotel (Ling Bao), die Black Mamba (B&M Inverted Coaster) (2006), Talocan (HUSS Suspended Top Spin) (2007), Maus au Chocolat, Chiapas (Intamin Rapid River)(2014), Taron & Raik (2016) und Schließlich FLY (2020) dazu.

Tagesablauf

Als ein Mechatroniker im Phantasialand ist man für die Wartung, Instandhaltung und Reparaturarbeiten zuständig.
Der Tag startet meist um 6 Uhr früh, um z. B. Aufwändiger zu Wartenden Attraktionen wie Achterbahnen zu kontrollieren. Dabei Testet er die Attraktionen, macht einen Funktionstest und geht bei Achterbahnen die Strecke ab.

Wenn die Tests erfolgreich waren, können die Attraktionen von den Mechatronikern freigegeben werden.

Ein Typischer Tag als Gärtner beginnt dann, wenn es Hell wird. Als Gärtner ist man für die vielfältigen Pflanzen in den Themenbereichen zuständig. Man pflegt sie, gießt sie oder Pflanzt neue. Man sollte Erfahrung mitbringen.

Tagesablauf
Der Tag beginnt, wenn die Attraktionen geöffnet werden und endet, wenn diese geschlossen werden.
Als Operator Arbeitet man im Team oder alleine an Attraktionen, und bedient diese. Falls es minimale Fehler gäbe, sollte man diese Beheben können. Zu Tätigkeiten in den jeweiligen stationen der Attraktionen gehören Bügelcheck und Bestätigung an den Hauptoperator, der am Steuerpult sitzt und die meiste Kontrolle hat.

Eine Achterbahn ohne vorherige Planung zu bauen ist unmöglich, da man noch an die Physik denken muss.
Daher verwenden die Firmen wir Vekoma, Intamin oder Maurer eine Spezielle Software im Wert von 80 EUR. Genannt wird dieses NoLimits. Die Physik ist sehr Real und daheer bestens geeignet.

3. Achterbahnen werden im Programm bearbeitet
4. Getestet
5. Gebaut
6. TüV
7. Testfahrten
8. Personverkehr
