They still grow them here but they mainly grow them in other countries now because of cheaper labor. This place is now more of a tourist place than it is a pineapple farm but they make a lot of things out of fresh pineapple that they grow here like pineapple ice cream. When you go to it in the night you can see the lava splashing around in it and you can see the light coming from the crater.
