She is a very strong person, but she doesn't know how to use it correctly. She is strong because she wants to fight. She wants to fight for what she wants. She wants to be a doctor and she will not let anyone get in her way of doing that. But she is also weak in some ways. In the book, she let Asagai tell her that she should leave her hair natural. She is weak, but not in the way that makes her less strong. Her weaknesses have nothing to do with why and how she is going to be a doctor. They have many of the same themes. Their characters are also compatible. The two stories were set in a similar time and a similar setting. The stories were set in suburban areas in the 1950's. The theme of both of the stories are that family is the most important and that family comes first.
Rose and Ruth are similar; they both would do anything they needed to in order to keep a roof above their families head and food on the table. Troy and Walter Lee are also similar; they both have done things in their stories to mess up their families, but ended up doing the right thing in the end. Corey and Beneatha are alike; neither one of them want to do what their families say. They both want to be bold and follow their own dreams.
