Breda is a town full of nice restaurants and cafes. But there are also many stores. If you want to find peace and quiet, you can go for a walk in the park, named ‘Park Valkenberg’. You can hang there after school when the weather is good. My favourite type of holiday is a roadtrip holiday in the United States of America. An example of a roadtrip holiday is driving around the west coast. In the West Coast, you can see a lot of different big cities and also a lot of different National Parks. So the main reason why this is my favourite kind of holiday is because you see a lot of different places in a short time. When you are visiting the big cities, you can enjoy the beaches and the shops. But you can also visit the deserts or the national parks.

The country has one of the best kitchens in the world. The biggest pizzas and delicious pastas makes the day complete. But do not forget the ice cream which is available in so many flavors.  

Besides the kitchen Italy has a lot more to offer. The weather is perfect for my favorite activities. I could have a beach day or getting a tan at the swimming pool. In the evening the temperature is perfect to visit a village. Where I can go shopping and enjoy the culture.

At first I didn’t know what I should study at all. Every study that I saw was not really my thing. 

I find working with people really nice and it’s interesting. I like to go on trips and go to different cities. I thought that it was a good idea if I follow the study tourism because of the reasons.
 
With this study you can learn different aspects of the travel industry and you get to know the work in the travel world, that you normally not see as a tourist .

Everybody has a favorite holiday and here’s mine. My favorite holiday is Christmas. What I really love about this holiday are the movies about it. Christmas movies are the most fun movies to watch in my opinion. The second reason is the month Christmas is in. December is a cold month and there is a chance of seeing snow. I think the weather fits the holiday. The last reason is that when you look around you, you see people being happy. I love to see that and it brings me joy. It may surprise you that my favorite type of holiday not an alcoholic vacation with friends is, but I just don’t like that the meaning of an alcoholic vacation is to: sleep, eat, party, repeat. I really like to see and experience new things in a country and my biggest hobby is spending money on clothes, bags, good food etc. That’s why my favorite type of holiday is a city trip. I just like the boujee lifestyle, especially if I'm with my friends.

To start off with, I did a former education at the MBO Airport college. MBO Level 4. During this education I studied Hotel management. I really liked the education. I had a lot of city trips and most importantly I had 2 internships abroad. I managed to complete this study and I was asking myself 3 questions. Do I continue my current study on a higher level, do I work from now on till the rest off my life or will I do a different course on a higher level? 

Even though I really liked hotel management, I am not that good with numbers, which is important for hotel management. Nevertheless, I like the direction a lot. Hospitality, travel, tourism, hotel. It’s all very close to each other. I really like languages, traveling and the tourist industry. For this reason, I decided to choose for tourism management on the BUAS.

One of my favourite types of holiday is a city trip with my boyfriend or my mother. Because I like to see all the sightseeings of the city. So visiting museums, eating local food and shopping. Likewise I like a vacation to a hot country. The weather is nice, so you can go one day to the beach and get a tan but I also like to see something of the city. In general I like to see more of the world.

The reason why I chose to study tourism is really simple. I chose it because I love to travel and help people in other countries but also in my own country. that’s why the best combination is as a study is travel and tourism. 

firstly you can do many things in the world off tourism. you can work in a hotel but also work on a plane as a flight attendant or work as a travel guide in one of your favourite places in the world. 

I studied tourism before at VISTA College Maastricht at a MBO 4 level and I really liked it. we had a lot of contact with other people who already work in the tourism world and it was really fun! 

lastly I love to learn more about the culture in other countries and would love to learn more about it. 

that’s why I chose tourism as my study.

the first time I visited Greece was when I was a about seven years old. We went on a holiday to Rhodos. It felt like home because I am part Greek so I understand what they where saying and I didn't feel lost. We went to smal old cities and saw a lot off old men an women. We also went on a boat to go and see a other city to learn more about the history about Greece.

The first time that I visit that place was in April 2019. It was with a school trip.  It was very beautiful and the weather was good.

The atmosphere that I associate with Berlin is that there are a lot of nice, calm and accepting people and there is a lot of history to find. 

One of the things that can be found in Berlin is the Berlin Wall. It is a monument from the war. Now it is a wall with paint, it is a popular place to go. An activity that I remember doing there was a school project with a few peoples from the school trip. We had to take pictures and write about the wall.

I was on a daytrip with my school to the caves of Remouchamps. The place is thousand of years old but still in a really good shape. In my opinion it is incredible that the nature is capable of that.  

Besides that the class and I had a little boat trip. The boat was small with no engine. A guy with a long stock pushed us trough the water. It was an experience I have never had before and I will never forget it.

The most impressive natural phenomenon I have encountered was the tsunami in Japan on march 11 2011. 

on march 11 2011 me and my grandparents were at MacDonald’s in Germany. MacDonald’s had televisions hanging up and they where streaming the whole phenomenon. people were shocked and couldn’t believe what was happening. as a child I didn’t know what was happening but looking back, it was a really dreadful occurrence.

First of all, people that work remote are unable to talk to their colleagues face-to-face. This disimproves collaborations. Secondly, there is less access to technology while working remote. Although someone can work from their laptop at home, at work there are things people may not have at home, for example a printer or a computer. Despite that it is more comfortable to work at home, when working onside people have to go outside, and this increases the quality of life. Besides that, some people find it pleasant to work with other people so they do not feel alone at home. I would like it because I find it very interesting to see a complete lake frozen. Also I would like to see the island Olkhon and drive tru the winter road. Which is a road tru Siberia. This road is not a normal road, but a road of ice. The last reason I would like to go to Lake Baikal, is because of the cultural difference with the Netherlands and I would like to experience that difference.

 
So the first reason I would go to Lake Baikal is for nature. I would like to see te frozen water and the emptiness of the nature. Also the island Olkhon could be very special.

Even more I want to drive tru the winter road. It is something that doesn’t come forward in the text, but I have seen a documentary about it. However, I don’t quite now if I am in possesion of the correct driving licence.

Last, I would like to take a visit of the Lake to improve my cultural awareness. I suspect the cultur at Siberia will be very different than the cultural of the Netherlands. More over, I really want to see their way of living.
