It gives the impression that that's the way he lived. Once he moved into the suburban neighbourhood his lifestyle changed. He became more aware of his hands and more aware of his feelings. He almost seemed like a robot at first and then grew to become almost human. He could not tell right from wrong but soon grew to know that love is always right. You know this by how he robbed Jim's house knowing it was Jim's. He did it for Kim and knew it might be for something bad but there is a reason behind everything.
Jim wore a leather jacket in the end scene where he dies and the leather/black colour usually is a rougher, edgier look. A fairly interesting part that CAMELS is incorporated into is lighting.
The lighting in this film really affects the way you see all colours. E.g. the houses during the day seem way more bright and popping whilst during the night time a little more dim and dull.
Even with the characters mix of colours the colours are affected by what they are matched with and what time of day it is. 
Lighting helps really differentiate the difference between the dark castle and the bight little town. The incorporation of black, grey and white seem to be some of the main features heavily influenced by the sources of light.
The towns lighting can change dramatically which makes the difference between the castle and the town not as different as usual.
From this we can gather that light affects the way we see things. It is a classic portrayal of boy meets girl with a not so classic twist. He is sucked into a black and white tv show which he loves along with his sister and as the innocent and pleasant people of pleasantville learn not so pleasant things, they start to become coloured. The town becomes divided from coloured and non-coloured people. 

I chose this movie due to the main idea of colour being the main idea of what splits these people apart. Colour palettes are not just a part of CAMELS it is the topic. The focus is purely on the colours.
The idea of the people of pleasantville being coloured or not depends on the broadened mind that you have.
