Going into 7th grade the only person who was already my friend was Seth. I didn't want to only know the same people from elementary school, so I tried meeting some new people. I was struggling at first, because I was trying to relate to the other people, but eventually I started talking about the things that I actually like, Games. Soon after that I met some of my now closest friends, Mason, Jordan, and Issac. Even though we all go to different High Schools we still keep in touch.

How it relates to the Theme

If I had no knowledge or interest in video games, I doubt I would've became friends with them so easily.

A game Jordan and I like to play is Castle Crashers . Its a standard 4 player beat em' up, but it has an online feature where you and your friends can que up with randoms. Using just that feature lets you easily meet new people, who already have a shared interest. I might not know their real names, but we have relaxed conversations without having to force small talk, it's so much more fun than just playing by yourself.

How it relates to the theme

Using games as a middle ground I'm able to become friends with literally any random that get qued into the party.

During summer break most of my friends were going to things like summer camp o visiting relatives in a different state. Either way most of them were going to be out of contact for awhile. So with just me and Jordan we played tons of different online games over the summer, eventually we met Civil through Cameron. Soon after meeting him we started playing together. At one point we started, and finished a Minecraft world in under a month.

How it relates to the Theme

Even though I've never even met him in real life, because of video games we've become friends, without even knowing what each other look like
