All good will be for its own benefit, and all evil will be to its own loss. ˹The believers pray,˺ “Our Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place a burden on us like the one you placed on those before us. Our Lord! Do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our ˹only˺ Guardian. So grant us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Surah Al-baqarah 2:286)

This verse reminds us that despite whatever hardships are thrown our way, we must always remember that each test given to us was designed specifically for us. At the end of the day, nothing is given to us that we cannot handle – meaning that if Allah believes and knows you can overcome whatever challenge you are facing, you too should believe that you can overcome it.

Team 2

Theme: Revelation

Title: Types of Revelation

Content:{ “It is not [possible] for any human that Allah should speak to him except through revelation or from behind a veil, or send a messenger who reveals by His permission whatever He wishes. They float, each in an orbit”}. The use of the words kullun (all) and yasbahun (float) in the plural (for more than two) indicates that not only the sun and the moon but all the heavenly bodies are floating in their own separate orbits and none of them is fixed or stationary.
WORSHIP EQUIVALENT TO HAJJ [week 2]

WORSHIP EQUIVALENT TO HAJJ
Team 1

Worship: Do zikr after prayer

Explanation: "Some poor people came to the Prophet and said, 'The wealthy people will get higher grades and will have permanent enjoyment and they pray like us and fast as we do. They have more money by which they perform the hajj, and Umrah; fight and struggle in Allah's Cause and give in charity.'" "The Prophet said, 'Shall I not tell you a thing upon which if you acted you would catch up with those who have surpassed you? Nobody would overtake you and you would be better than the people amongst whom you live except those who would do the same. Say Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar 33 times each after every [compulsory] prayer.'" (Hadith Bukhari 1:804)

Team 2

Worship: Remember Allah from Fajr to sunrise

Explanation: According to Anas ibn Maalik (RA), Allah’s Messenger said, “Whoever prays Fajr in congregation, then sits remembering Allah till the sun rises, then prays two rak’ahs, would receive a recompense equal to Hajj and Umrah”. (Tirmidhi)

It’s quite tempting to jump back into bed after performing Fajr prayer, but staying for a few minutes longer to dhikr while waiting for sunrise prayer will earn us an incredible reward of Hajj and Umrah.

Team 3

Worship: Being good to your parents

Explanation: The Messenger (PBUH) commanded one of the Companions to be good to his mother. If you do so, he said: “You are a Hajj pilgrim, a person performing `Umrah and someone striving for the sake of Allah (mujahid).”

Parents, especially mothers, undoubtedly have a very high rank in Islam. To serve them and be good to them can earn one the reward of Hajj. Therefore, we must treat our parents with respect and be kind to them as Ihsan towards parents is the highest level of Ihsan towards Allah’s creations.

There’s even a Quranic verse relating to the issue of how one should treat his parents which is in Surah Al- Isra’ verse 23 and 24:
“For your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And honour your parents. If one or both of them reach old age in your care, never say to them ˹even˺ ‘ugh,’ nor yell at them. Rather, address them respectfully.(23) And be humble with them out of mercy, and pray, “My Lord! Be merciful to them as they raised me when I was young.” (24)

From these Quranic verses, we can deduce that one should not even say ‘ugh’ to their parents as a sign of one’s anger and scold them. Instead, one should address their parents with respectful words, talk to them with grace and pray for them to Allah, to remove their difficulties and make things easy for them in the hereafter.

Team 4

Worship: Congregation in the mosque during fard prayer

Explanation: In a hadith, the Prophet SAW said: "Whoever walks towards prayer must be in congregation, then it is like performing Hajj. Whoever walks towards the circumcision prayer, then it is like performing a Sunnah Umrah." (Narrated at-Tabarani)

Team 5

Worship: Gaining and preaching true knowledge.

Explanation: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “The one who goes out to the mosque wanting only to learn good or teach it has the reward of a complete Hajj.”

Faci

Worship: Learning and teaching in the masjid

Explanation: {Abu Umamah (RA) reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever goes to the mosque not desiring except to learn or teach what is good has the reward of a pilgrim who completed his Hajj.” (Tabarani)}

Sometimes when we hear of a class taking place in our local masjid, we may feel like it’s not necessary, or that we don’t need the lesson. But the reward for seeking knowledge doesn’t depend on what you already know, but the desire to learn. Make the most of any opportunity to learn at the mosque, and, inshaAllah, you’ll gain the reward of Hajj.

7 good deeds that have the same reward as Hajj | Human Appeal

REZEKI THAT MAKES US GRATEFUL AND WHY ALLAH SWT GAVE IT TO US [WEEK 3]

Team 1

Story: During highschool, I was really ungrateful because I had no big circle of friends like the others. I feel like no one is beside me to support me. But I did not appreciate my small circle, which are my only 2 bestfriends. They are the most supportive people I have ever met. I became a better person because of their personality. They taught me a lot of good things and advised me to prevent all the bad things. I can never be more grateful for this.

Summary: Allah who has planned everything for our life, those people who came into picture and made us how we are right now. There are no such things like “i should have never known them” , “i should never be with them”. We should be grateful because all types of people are either kings or toxic, they make us grow. We learned from people around us. Certain people will think that they have no one in their life, but they did not notice that even their family will always love them through thick and thin. We should learn to appreciate those in our life and be thankful to Allah.

Team 2

Story: I lost my mom three months ago and it's quite awkward, to be honest. At first, I used to say the word 'ibu' at least once a day. Now, if any of our family members mention 'ibu' the atmosphere suddenly changes and we stop talking for a while. She passed away because of breast cancer and she refuses to go to the hospital so the police testify the cause of death because of that. She was buried in her hometown in Johor and I'm relieved that she doesn't feel any pain anymore rather than watching us grow up but she's in pain.

Summary: Always be grateful to your parents as long as they live. Cherish those joyful moments before it's too late. As for me, one of the things I regret the most is I don't have many pictures of my mom. Also, I don't have any right photos of her smiling in front of the camera. That's why I love taking random pictures of my family members now. Even though my mom is no longer in this world, I always recite the Al-Fatihah for her every prayer. So, one of the sustenances that I am grateful for is my parents. I was raised well by my mom for these 18 years of my life, so I think that is why Allah gave my mom to me. P/S: I miss her homemade cooking so much.

Team 3

Story: Everyone must have that one phase in their life where everything goes downhill, everything seems wrong to you that you started questioning your life. Mine was when all of us were stuck in our homes and learning through online platforms where it’s quite hard to focus and do tasks properly (for some people I guess). You could say I’m quite used to having people in my surroundings, and yet, when COVID hits, I was left all alone with my parents. However, for some reason, I’m used to having to show only my ‘perfect side’ to my parents while being overwhelmed with the amount of work given and no one to talk to as my siblings were with their own families, with their partner, or stuck in university. I started to look for reasons to continue living and how I can improve my life when I came across a Youtube video about making your relationship with Allah as the first priority.

Summary: Basically, I was grateful that I saw that video, as it changed my perspective of life. Sure, we all know from the start that we should make our relationship with Allah a priority. However, as human beings, there are times when we start to forget, and we need a reminder to bring us back on the right track. We must remind ourselves that the reason Allah has made us go through certain hardships in life is because He wants us to be close to Him, to rely on Him and pray for His assistance to put us on the right path. Therefore, the moral of the story is we must try our best and be grateful to Allah even at your lowest, as He will eventually change your situation and bless you with the best. As Allah had mentioned in the Quran in Surah Al- Baqarah verse 152; “Remember Me; I will remember you. And thank Me, and never be ungrateful.”

Team 4

Story: I think most of us have gone through a phase where we are tested with hardships while studying but I am really grateful because Allah still lent me a mother whose prayer is without hijab to pray for me and Alhamdulillah it may be because of her prayer , I am at this level now.

Summary: We as a daughter should know that a mother has a high position in the eyes of God. In fact, a mother must be obeyed by her child as long as she does not teach things that are forbidden by Allah SWT. Mother is the person who knows us better than other people, loves us the most, and risked her life while giving birth to us. Therefore, a mother's peace and prayers are very necessary to fill life's journey. So , use this sustenance to ask our mother pray for us in every single things such as during examination week and ask her to pray the best for our life

Team 5

Story: I would say a to be able to breathe for today.

Summary: Always be grateful that Allah gives us chances to live with a healthy body and mind. Hence, we need to use the chance wisely because we don’t know when the last moment we are alive.

Faci:

Story: Just a short story, I actually don't like my parents' decision to send me to pursue my future in Imtiaz. why? because I don't like staying in the hostel and memorising the Quran? It is my biggest weakness. but my grandmother and grandfather and great-grandfather said you won't know if you don't try. So after spending five years there, I learned this was the best decision of my life.

Summary: so this is why, I realised how bad it would be if I didn't go there, because there were people who always reminded me about everything and I learned to be humble from there. In a coconut shell, the first thing is to follow everything that God has planned for you, if you are not sure do istikhara [easy]. The last thing is just husnuzon with Allah because Allah is the best planner. orite!

Long story short, during our first activity (jungle tracking), I injured when I return back to the starting point (don't say I careless because it was rainy). It's so funny because I didn't even get to spend a night at there and I didn't get to met my turtle ! , !). Then what make me grateful? Some of you might judge but I kinda care about my hygiene. The thing was my friend told me that the next morning they had to use random tooth brush that own by stranger and funny thing my friend saw her tooth brush was used by male student. So that's all.
