It was important because it was a big part of the Buddhism religion and their practices. It also was made for the priests and the god Buddha. There were eight kingdoms that Buddha lived in and they made eight parts of then Stupa store different relics and they were to show the living presents on Buddha. The top of the social class pyramid would help each other, they would make sure the kings had a good relationship with the priests and they had a strong relationship with their gods that they believed in. The social classed made India able to survive because everyone had a job and all the jobs were needed and it was all making ancient India Able to survive.
