In the Secondary 1 Level Camp, me and my classmates enjoyed the dragon boating activity. We found it as a new way to bond and in this way we communicate better in a team sport.

I think my class enjoyed the camp because we were able to bond while doing outdoor activities and we had to sleep overnight with our friends. I think the camp played a crucial part for my classmates to talk to each other and learn more about each other while also learning life skills such as pitching up a tent. I was lucky enough to talk to more of my classmates whom I have never interacted with in school and now we talk more frequently. I personally believe that having bonds with your classmates is crucial to be a good leader.

I think my class likes the programmes in T1 as they seemed to really enjoy themselves and had much fun especially during the camp. I think they enjoyed the camp the most out of all the activities in T1.

I think our class liked the sec 1 camp because we were able to bond with our friends and classmates, even though there were struggles for activities i was glad to see our class have resilience to push on and finish the activities. Even when there were times of conflict, we still resolved it by the end of the day.

In camp when my class was supposed to do dragon boating, we were all very excited to do dragon boating but it started drizzling and they took away around 30-45 minutes of our dragon boating time and we were all very disappointed. I think they should’ve come up with an alternative plan for if it rains during activities.

I think the camp can improve on more activities and more sports to do during camp such as rock climbing, catch the flag, a maze, treasure hunt. I feel like we should also have some free time where we can just talk and play games to cool down. I think having a break where we can just talk or play tag could strengthen the bond between or classmates.

I think that maybe we should allow students to get their phones for 1 hour at night to be able to call their families as they could miss their company, as most students are dependent on their parents and they would miss their parents.

In my opinion, I think that they could have added other activities instead of kayaking, they could have asked us to swim or even sail. This will take up more time but will also decrease the risk of fibre glass getting on to our body
Many of my classmates were feeling hungry due to the 3 hr walk

I like sports and a lot of my classmates do as well, so I think there could be more sporty activities and or programmes where we get to try out all different sports including the less popular ones like fencing, rounders, or rock climbing. I think it would be fun for the whole cohort.

I think having a break during camp can help us calm down and learn more about each other. Having more sports, could help us gain stamina and having fun sports to play will make more people want to join so we will be doing something that is healthy that people want to do such as rock climbing, tag, catch the flag etc..

Yes I think my bond with my teachers has strengthened as I remember at week 2 I was still not fully confident and wouldn’t talk to my teachers that much. Now, whenever I have a question, I am not afraid to speak up for myself.

Honestly, there’s not that much teacher-student relationship for my class. Some of my classmates are very quiet, and dont really interact with other classmates or teachers. Mostly if you interact with your teacher first, then they will interact with you. I think there should be a school time, maybe for only 5-15 minutes where the teachers talk with one of their students to get to know them more, especially the quiet ones. If a teacher were to talk to the quiet ones, they would most likely talk more rather than to their classmates.

Yes. My classmates tend to speak to one another a lot on bond with each other. And I have also seen my classmates interacting with people from other classes, including myself. Although some of my classmates are very quiet, usually the loud and more extroverted ones will just go up to them and just strike a random conversation with them if they want it.

My relationships with my peers has also increased as we get to know each others when it comes to being more relaxed as when we are about to sleep some people from other tents just kept talking and walking with had disturb most people’s sleep including mine so I understood that some people had only got use to the relaxing weather and temperature but when it comes to hotter weathers they start to struggle

Yes, I feel like our teacher-student relationship has strengthened a lot as compared to the start of school of T1. Back then, I would not dare to speak a word, but now, if I have any problems / questions , I would raise it to my teachers. However, if we do want to strengthen the relationship more, we can have more teacher-student games and we can get the teachers involved.

I personally think this is just because I had a really fun time at camp, but I would like to have more camps throughout the school year. I understand that the camp is pricey, but I think it’s crazy how much I could bond with so many people in the span of three days. I had such a fun time and so did my peers. I hope that I will have another overnight camp soon.

I also want to talk about the use of handphones. I think it is great that the teachers want us to focus in class, but I feel that at break, we should be able to use our phones as we have close friends in different schools and we don’t want to lose contact throughout the day. Yes, I could use my phone after school, but if I have cca, it will end at around 5-5:30. And, some students, me included, will get their phone taken away early at night. For me, it is 8pm. And, my parents don’t allow me to use my phone at dinner which is at 6:30-7:30. I usually arrive at home at 6-6:30, so I wont have a lot of times to talk to my close friends.

Exercises as people in secondary one mentality is not so strong and strength so they need to improve on it as 2.4 Kim run is coming up and thus if they fail they would have to keep doing it again and their mentality would be worsen
