Ole Kirk Christiansen is the person who invented LEGO. He is a carpenter and he founded a toy company in Denmark.

In 1934, he named the company "LEGO", which originated from Denish's "leg godt" which means "play well".

World War II

During World War II, wood is precious. This is the major problem that Christiansen have to fix. Later on, he decided to switched wooden toys to plastic as a medium.

1949:Well begun is half done.

The company started to produce plastic bricks. The most unique feature is that these bricks can buckle together closely. Every generation quickly took notice of the distinct inception.

1958:Go to the world

These interlocking bricks are patented, which can let construct more creative items. To make toys easier for younger children, they developed chunky, larger bricks. In the following decades, LEGO expanded to global.

LEGO's collaboration

Since LEGO became well-unowned, they started to collaborate with other popular franchises. They have cooperated with Disney, Animal Crossing, and Frozen. Those products rolled out, and they immediately caught people's eyes, making LEGO more famous.

2014:The LEGO's movie

LEGO launched its first movie, called "The LEGO Movie". The most distinct thing is that the trees, bushes, and leaves, were produced using sugarcane. This is a milestone for the LEGO company, and they didn't stop their steps, still produced more movies.

2030:The goal

LEGO set a goal which make LEGO's products from sustainable materials without changing design or jeopardizing quality. To make an effort for our living environment, LEGO plans on making all materials renewable and recyclable by 2025.
