Bringing together individuals with Down syndrome (ages 18 and up), their family members and friends, health care professionals, educators, advocates and others from across the country, this transformative gathering will feature the latest research findings and timely information from national experts on a range of topics related to adulthood and aging for individuals with Down syndrome. This includes cutting edge research and clinical trials, including those related to Alzheimer’s disease; health and wellness including physical fitness, mental health and health equity; education, including transition planning, post-secondary education, and housing options; career exploration and employment; financial planning; authentic community inclusion; and much more!

I: The person giving consent must be Informed about what they’re consenting to.

E: Their “yes” must be Enthusiastic. “I don’t know” means no, and no answer means no. Only “yes” means yes.

S: Consent is for something Specific– meaning consenting to one thing (e.g. kissing) does not mean consent to another (e.g. touching).

Consent is the key to a healthy and loving relationship of any kind. Learning how to say “no” and learning how to deal with someone else’s “no” in a respectful way will open the door to strong and fulfilling relationships.

Governor Healey Announces Summer Savings for Commuter Rail Riders | Mass.gov

• Free Summer Fridays: All Commuter Rail service will be free on Fridays in June, July, and August 2026, including Juneteenth and July 3. Regular fares will be in place for Boston Stadium Trains, the CapeFLYER, and any other special event trains to Foxboro.

• 50 Percent Discount on Monthly Commuter Rail Passes: Calendar month Commuter Rail passes for June, July, and August 2026 will be discounted by 50 percent. This discount applies to full fare and reduced fare monthly passes for Zones 1 through 10, Interzone 1 through 10, and Commuter Ferry passes. This discount will not apply to Zone 1A passes. All non-calendar month Commuter Rail products (for example, single-ride tickets, 5-Day Flex Passes, and Weekend Passes) will remain at their standard prices.

• Expanded Weekend Travel for Monthly Pass Holders: Monthly Commuter Rail passes will be valid for travel to any zone on weekends. Zone 1 through 10 pass holders may travel through Zone 10, and Interzone pass holders may travel through Interzone 10. This does not apply to Zone 1A passes or ferry service. Regular fares will be in place for Boston Stadium Trains, the CapeFLYER, and any other special event trains to Foxboro.

Since 2003, Mobility Danes of New England has donated over 180 certified Great Dane service dogs—free of charge—to individuals facing balance and mobility challenges.

Every dog is bred, born, raised, and trained at the facility, where dedicated staff and volunteers provide around-the-clock care and supervision throughout the puppies' critical first month.

The comprehensive training program spans approximately 1.5 years. Once fully trained, each Great Dane is carefully matched with a recipient based on compatibility, height, weight, and specific needs. AFTER I AM GONE is a new initiative from The Arc of Massachusetts designed to support aging caregivers who are planning for the future care of their loved one with a disability. It provides tools, guidance, and a structured approach to help families think through important questions about long-term support, decision-making, and quality of life. The initiative emphasizes person-centered planning, focusing on the individual’s goals, preferences, and support needs, while helping caregivers prepare a plan that can be carried forward when they are no longer able to provide direct support.
