Bus 916 Express (916快) is the most convenient bus to Mutianyu Great Wall. Take the bus from Dongzhimen Public Transport Hub (Dōngzhímén jiāotōng shūniǔ 东直门交通枢纽) and get off at Huairou Beidajie (怀柔北大街), then go to the opposite road side to take bus H36 and get off at Xinying Lukou (辛营路口), then walk 100 meters to the entrance of the Great Wall. If take H24 or H35, get off at Mutianyu Huandao (慕田峪环岛), and continue walk ahead for 600 meters.
Notes:
1. The bus 916 Express (916快) is available from 5:50 – 19:50, the ticket price is RMB12. It is 6 Yuan if you use Beijing Yikatong (Yīkǎtōng 一卡通, public transit card).
2. Please note the bus is 916快, not bus 916. both can take you to same stop but the latter have more stops and takes more time.
3. The bus H36 and H24 is available from 6:20 to 17:40.
3. The whole trip takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes. Advise to take early morning bus in order to avoid the crowd.
Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)

Take line 4 to Beigongmen, and exit from D. After that, walk west for 3 minutes to the North Palace Gate.
2. Take line 10 to Bagou Station. Then take Western Suburban Line to Yiheyuanximen Station. Walk north for 4 minutes to the West Gate of Summer Palace.
3. Take line 4 or line 16 to Xiyuan and leave from exit C2. Walk west for about 15 minutes to the East Palace Gate.

 Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

The museum carries out a south-to-north unidirectional itinerary. Visitors can only enter through the Meridian Gate (Wumen) and leave from the Gate of Divine Prowess (Shenwumen) or East Prosperity Gate (Donghuamen). Three to four hours is enough for touring the central axis; if you have interest in exploring more about the imperial palace, more time need to be spent in the west and east wings.
Take Subway Line 1, get off at Tiananmen East Station (Exit A) or Tiananmen West Station (Exit B), find the Tiananmen Tower, and then walk north to the Meridian Gate;
b.   Take Subway Line 2, get off at Qianmen Station (Exit A), walk north through the Tiananmen Square, pass the Tiananmen Tower, and then find the Meridian Gate further north.

The museum allows 80,000 visitors a day. All visitors need to buy ticket online or by scanning the official QR code on site.
 
 However English service is not ready yet on the official booking website, so foreigners need to buy tickets through travel agencies or Chinese friends. If it seems difficult, a ticket window is opened near the Meridian Gate for special needs and you may get a ticket from there. It is important to get there and buy tickets as early as possible, especially during holidays.

Real-name policy has been carried out in ticketing. ID cards of Chinese visitors and passports of foreigners need to be shown when buying tickets. Chinese need to swipe their ID cards at the entrance, while foreigners should go through the special channel(s) to have their passports checked.

Longhua Temple

Built in the early Song Dynasty (960-1279), it is the oldest and largest temple in Shanghai. It is popularly believed that the temple gained its name Longhua from the legendary “Longhua” tree with branches extending some 20 kilometers, under which the Maitreya Buddha was enlightened.

Speed to the top of the world’s third tallest TV and radio tower for a spectacular view, or just gaze at this beautiful structure from afar, especially striking when lit up at night.

Visitors are exempted from the entrance fees.
