Good morning, everyone. The passage that I chose is number 41 and 42 in 9월 모의고사. It is about what FOMO and JOMO are; FOMO is the fear of missing out, and JOMO the joy of missing out. Since I’ve become very interested in social psychology lately, these two interesting syndromes made me research them more. Today, I’d like to introduce you to how FOMO syndrome affects today’s real estate market.
Have you ever hear about panic buying? Panic buying occurs when consumers unusually buy large amounts of product in anticipation of a high price increase, or a shortage. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, there have been many panic buying events worldwide. As house prices and stock prices have risen at record levels all over the world, many young generations in Korea, especially people in their 20s and 30s, bought apartments or stocks by pulling everything together, which is called 영끌, or by taking out too many loans to invest in the market, so-called 빚투. The anxiety about falling behind others like FOMO is one of the main factors influencing panic buying. As a growing number of loans are taken out by individuals, the unrelenting surge in household debt has become the biggest downside risk to the Korean economy. Due to the economic instability, many people who have been overbuying real estate and stocks due to anxiety are now causing damage not only to themselves but to the entire economy.
Likewise, FOMO syndrome not only has a detrimental effect on our physical and mental health but also influences the property market, and finally harms the entire economy. We sometimes think everyone makes money but me and others might have rewarding experiences that we are not missing out on. Like the solutions mentioned in the passage, however, it will be necessary for us to accept JOMO in our lives, which is to be satisfied with the present and to be aware that we can miss out on anything at any time. Let’s enjoy missing out. Thank you for listening.

I'm going to talk about number 2 of P which is about outcome of high natural resource dependence. The higher resource dependence, the lower productive diversification and rate of growth. It is called the curse of resource.
The curse of resource is represented diverse aspect. There are excessive goverment spending, social conflict about distribution, national collapse when natural resource are all used, etc... First, countries such as Kwait, where population is small and payment of resource is big, give huge benefit and welfare to calm social dissatisfaction. This influence the countries' labor force to destroy by reducing labor willingness. Second, if the nation doesn't have ability to distribute the wealth from resource, social conflict can be deepen and civil war can break out. Especially, the earn from resource isn't distributed fairly, because a lot of resources are located in the third world which don't have ability to do so. Third, there are possibility of national catastrophe when natural resource are burned out. Even if the various curse of resources happens, as long as there are resources, the wealth solves the basic economic problem. But the resource are finite. This means that if resources are all used, there is nothing to fill the gap in the economy, which can lead to the collapse of the country like Nauru.
Almost members of the OECD do not rely on resources. In other words, in order to become an advanced country, it is necessary to reduce resource dependence and use resources efficiently.
Countries that don't have been cursed yet but are highly dependent on resources should develop new industries for future. Also, it is essential to reduce their dependence on resources and to increase competitivenes in other fields. Thank you for your time.

It is about information technology's effect in material exchange. Information technology's development increased the amount of material moving around the planet. After I read this writing, I thought about 'Amazon'. Amazon is the best online mall in the world. Amazon uses one of the information technology: data mining. Data mining is one of the main technology that made Amazon success. Today, I will introduce how Amazon uses data mining.
Do you know what data mining exactly means? Data mining is a process which finds correlated data in big data. Here is how Amazon do data mining. First, Amazon records all the shopping lists of all consumers in database. Second, Amazon analyzes this record and apprehends a consumer's interest. Also, it apprehends products which the consumer would like and Amazon's stock. Then Amazon sends the email that only fits to the consumer. The consumer who is given the email would want to buy the products in the Amazon's algorithm email. The consumer clicks the button 'buy now', and material exchange occurs. The material exchange will occur all over the world. In fact, today, Amazon is the best online mall in the world. Data mining, one of the information technology, occurs more material exchange.
I think not only Amazon but many online malls would use big data system. But I want to say that they should not stay there. If they do data mining process in addition and inform individual consumer's recommending goods, they will develop more. If you are dreaming opening an online mall, I suggest you to use data mining process! Thanks for listening my presentation.

Dependence desire means a mind which want to be considered as the important subject regardless of any conditions or circumstances. And this state of mind is called 'Pseudo Independence'.

Pseudo Independence means what have grown into a state that lacks of dependent desire and today appeared in a state of being independence. An adult of this type continually wants to fill up deficiencies from important person. And the behaviors are appeared like excessively supporting his parents or forcing his children to be independent against children's level. In this way, the damage of deficiencies is passed down from one child to the next generation child at all.

Although it was started just from fewer caring, the damage of deficiencies can pile up like a river rises. We often think that the library is the place where people read and borrow some books. Then, how think about the library that people are the books? Human Library is a non-profit international organization and movement that first started in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2000. Human library aims to address people's prejudices by helping them to talk those they would not normally meet. At this time, people of the role of books experience prejudice, social exclusion, stigma, and so on. Thus, a various poeple, a beggar, a soldier, or a billionaire, they can be a book. Participant can only ask questions that learn about the other poeple and challenge their prejuice. During listening the writing, you have some curiosity that Human Library is located in Korea. That Human Library is really located in Korea. 서울휴먼라이브러리, 시흥 사람도서관, 광명시 사람책도서관, and so on. The passage that I chose is number 3 in P, Xistory. It is about the internal clock, which run faster as body temperature increases. Since I have interested in biology, I researched them more. My main topic for today’s talk is various factors of the phenomenon in which time seems to pass quickly.

There is physical clock given to all in the same way, however, there is internal clock that flow differently from person to person. Sometimes we feel that times flow too quickly. One of the reasons that we feel like this is the amount of dopamine produced by age. As we get older, internal clocks slow down because we produce less dopamine. In an experiment to determine the relationship between dopamine and time perception, mice that lowered dopamine pushed the lever two seconds slower than regular mice that were trained to push the lever every 20 seconds.
Secondly, amount of information is the one of the reasons. The time in memory is reconstructed by the amount of information. When we were young, every day was new, so there was a lot of information and we remember it in detail. But, as we get older, experience becomes more common and the amount of information that passes through our brain decreases. So people feel like time goes too fast.

In this way, there are many factors that affect the internal clock to feel like time goes quickly. Companies participating in the movement will charge customers the usual amount, donate 15 percent of their sales to the association, and use donations to fight global poverty and environmental movements. The movement can reduce carbon footprint to a meaningful level by refusing to overconsume and extending the life of the product. The passage that I chose is number 22 of unitN in Xi-story. This writing was written about why objects in the Earth don’t fly off to the Sun. The answer about this question is ‘gravity’, the force of the Earth to full objects. I’ve been interested in physics. So, I’d like to speak about the phenomenon happened by gravity.

When you throw the ball to the sky, it stops in the air for a while and then falls faster and faster. In this case, the reason this phenomenon happens is gravity. As the ball is had force by you, it flies off to the Sun for a while. But, its velocity slows down and eventually stops and falls towards the ground. Because, the ball has mass and gravity acts on the ball in the direction of the Earth’s center, this phenomenon happens. Plus, when the ball falls down, its velocity changes consistently. This consistent change of it per second is called gravity acceleration.

Like this phenomenon, what I explain you, another phenomenon happened by gravity is various. I recommend that you look around and find such phenomenon in your life. That may be fun! Thank you for listening.

Today, I'd like to introduce you to the pratfall effect in society.

What do you feel if you make people mistakes? It feels different from person to person. There are people who criticize and there are people who encourage. The pratfall effect shows humanity to the person who made a mistake and is loved.

For example, it's the same for celebrities like actors and idols. When an actor makes a mistake in them lines or an idol makes a mistake in them voice out of tune, it gives people more charm. But the opposite happens. People with low self-esteem don't put up with or like other people's mistakes or flaws.

Like this, the pratfall effect shows more interest and love for the person who made the mistake.

지문 : 자이스토리 K14번
지문 내용 요약 : 신체적인 움직임은 정신적인 건강에 긍정적인 기능을 한다.

Hello, everyone. The passage that I chose is K 14 in Xi story. It is about positive function of physical movements on human’s mental health. Since I am really interested in medical science, just saying about various positive effects of physical movements on our mental health made me feel curious about how these effects occur. Today, I’d like to let you know what happens in our boddies while we make some physical movements.

First, I’ll explain how physical movements reduce bad feelings. Like the passage I chose says, physical movements help us get rid of negative emotions. While we make physical movements, hormones like serotonin, dopamine, and endorphin are secreted more frequently. Dopamine makes humans feel motivated to do something, endorphin helps us endure stressful situations and serotonin makes us feel happy and reduces depression. These hormones give us power to overcome depression and negative feelings.

Secondly, let’s see how physical movements make us feel comfortable. Have you ever felt uncomfortable while you are in stressful situaiton? For me, I’ve experienced uncomfortable feeling and couldn’t sleep well while I prepared for my test. When we are under stress, our boddies secrete hormones like adrenaline, which brings about fight or flight response, which makes our muscles rigid and our boddies tense. Physical movements relax our stiff muscles and our boddies, so we can feel more comfortable. Actually, when I was under stress due to preparing for my test, taking a walk for a moment reduced my anxiety and motivated me to study harder.

Physical movements effect our mental health by reducing our bad feelings and anxiety. Just sleeping in and being inactive will only compound your negative feelings. I’d like to emphasize that when you are under stress or feel depressed, exercising or making physical movements can help you recover from those negative situations. That’s all for today. Thank you for listening to my presentation.

Calories and ingredients that are written on the label is written on the basis of serving size. For example, If serving size of the total amount of 168g of snack is 28g, the calories and ingredients on the label will be written based on the total amount divided by six times. Consumers should read labels carefully because they can fall into trap such as a serving size.

If you create a small habit like reading labels, you will be able to apply healthy eating habits to your daily life. It literally help mental health by reading. The background that first appeared ancient greece belief the refining influence of literature. Today, it has been used since the 1930s in the United States. Reading therapy has a preventive goal of finding ways to solve problems and a therapeutic goal of living a healthy life by providing appropriate reading materials. The proess of reading therapy, there are interactive reading therapy in which the reading therapist actively intervenes in therapy, and self-treatment reading therapy. Of these two courses, I recommed self-guided reading therapy. The reason is that self-reding therapy can lead to self-integration. The topic is the relationship between sports and violence. The more popular combat sports are, possibility they are to participate in the war. I was aware that the recent war between Russia and Ukraine resulted in a ban on Russian football tournaments. So , i investigate the relationship between sports and violence more. From now on, introduce how combat sports bans are related to war.

Have you ever thought that soccer or boxing, a combative sport, has with war? If sports are a substitute for violence, the more combative sports there are, the less combat happens. But there is a direct correlation between sports and violence, not an inverse correlation. So the more widespread and popular combative sports are, the more likely the society will participate in the war.

In the Middle Ages, the social class of knights emerged and the territorial battles of the empires began in earnest. In the Middle Ages, sports were transformed into military exercises such as horse racing, archery, and sword fighting. Therefore, ancient and medieval sports are not just games to enjoy, but also violent power struggles. Therefore, it can be see that sports are closely related to war. War cannot be rationalized for whatever reason. I think it is very appropriate to oppose the Russian war by banning Russian football. I hope that the future of sports will be transformed into a keyword related to peace rather than war. Thank you for listening

It's a symptom that everyone experiences after knowing it, but you may feel depressed when you think it's just your own problem. Today, social awareness of mental illness is still not improved. You can confide in others when you visit the hospital due to other diseases, but you tend to be reluctant to confide in others easily when you go to psychiatry. According to data from the Health Insurance review & Assessment service, the number of teenage depression patients has increased by 17.4% over the past five years.

I'd like to empasize that social awareness of mental illness needs to be improved.
