Even though Julius did save Brutus, Brutus feared that Julius had too much power and that he as either soon going to be corrupt or IS corrupt and so Brutus sided with the liberators to put an end to Julius, which caused many senates to flee Rome and presumably fled to the areas surrounding Rome, the assassination of Julius Caesar is possibly the main reason why we have the month "July".
