      <description>The recipient of a bachelor&#39;s degree in media communications and technology from East Stroudsburg University, Elaine Rosa began pursuing a career as a psychologist soon after. After earning master&#39;s degrees in counseling and clinical health psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Elaine Rosa earned a PhD in psychology from the same institution. While working toward her goal of becoming a certified psychologist, she completed the relevant internships and practicum with the college&#39;s Center for Brief Therapy as well as the Switzer Learning Center and The Joseph J. Peters Institute, where she primarily assessed adolescents who were victims of sexual abuse. 

Upon earning her PhD, Dr. Rosa worked two years as a clinical program manager at WISE &amp; Healthy Aging in Santa Monica, California, where she conducted comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations and supported clients&#39; efforts in achieving behaviorally-measured treatment objectives. She later worked for Mental Health Systems Kern ACTion and most recently served as a contracted psychologist for Kern Valley State Prison.

In addition to her work in mental health, Elaine Rosa is a transportation officer with the California Army National Guard. She previously served with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and is a combat veteran who completed a nine-month deployment mission in Afghanistan, for which she earned a Meritorious Service Medal.
