Bienvenidos al 5to. Grado de Inmersión en Español del Año Escolar 2017-2018. Mi nombre es Alma L. Mier. Yo seré la maestra de su hijo(a) en las materias de Estudios Sociales, Lectura y Artes del Lenguaje en Español.
Soy de Durango, México. Soy la mayor de 6 hijos (3 hermanos y 2 hermanas).  Nací, crecí y fuí a la universidad en México.  Mis hijos (Ricardo, 24 y Arely 21), mi esposo Adrián y yo hemos estado en Texas desde el año 2000. 
Obtuve la certificación en Educación Bilingue, trabajé 5 años en una escuela Montessori apoyando el programa de Inglés como Segunda Lengua, 2 años en el Programa Dual en GCISD en tercer grado y desde el  2015 formo parte de la familia de Bedford Heights: 2015-2016 1er. Grado, 2016-2017 5to. Grado.

Welcome to 5th Grade Spanish Immersion 2017-2018 School Year. My name is Alma L. Mier. I will be your child's teacher on Social Studies, Reading and Spanish Language Arts subjects.
I am from Durango, Mexico. I am the oldest from 6 children (3 brothers and 2 sisters). I was born, raised and went to college in Mexico. My children (Ricardo, 24 and Arely 21), my husband Adrian and I have been in Texas since the year of 2000. 
I got certified in Bilingual Education, work for 5 years in a Montessori School supporting ESL, 2 years in dual language in GCISD in 3rd. Grade, since the year 2015 I am part of the Bedford Heights' family: 2015-2016 1st. Grade, 2016-2017 5th Grade.
