Lilas, i believe if we see a child who is distresses, he would be unable to develop social relationship with others, have poor academic skills as he is unable to concentrate, his confidence would be lacking, it could affect his physical health whereas a child who has normal behavior knows how to behave appropriately, he performs well academically and he would be socio emotionally developed.

Hi Lilas, I think, a normal child shows control over his/her emotions, problem solving skills and eager to try new activities. More so, his/her social, educational and emotional needs are met while the distress child has different behavior. He/ she would show anger, aggression, health issues and lack of positive attachment with parents or caregiver and unable to develop social skills.
