This new paper in Trends in Microbiology uses ideas from the field of Island Ecology to help explain why the microbes living in our bodies vary so much from person to person – a step toward better understanding how the microbiome shapes health. The paper is the result of a collaboration between Siobhán Harty and colleagues from previous roles.

This new study in the Journal of Medical Internet Research shows that the HSE's national iCBT service is linked to real-world improvements in mental health outcomes and workplace productivity, with substantial estimated cost savings (over €29M annually across the study sample). This paper is the result of work Siobhán Harty led, and subsequently supervised, in her previous role at Amwell.
