Radical visibility means being unapologetically expressive in personality, clothing choices, appearance, and voice. Fashion/expression correlates with a person's interests and sense of style if you want it to. Fashion could be empowering and important or meaningless and non-essential, depending on the person. The fashion industry might work to create customizable options for people in addition to standard sizes and forms.

The term means standing out and highlighting the things that society usually shuns. What we wear and how we express ourselves through fashion can be a powerful way to communicate who we are and what we stand for. It allows us to show off our unique personalities. The fashion industry can strive towards becoming more inclusive of people with disabilities by designing adaptive clothing, featuring diverse models, and promoting accessibility in fashion shows and events. It's all about celebrating and embracing the diversity of all individuals.

Sky Cubacub describes "Radical Visibility" as showcasing the aspects of our identities that make us unique. Being "Radically Visible" means to express yourself how you want to with your fashion. Fashion/expression correlates with personal identity because, as Cubacub says, "Clothing is your second skin; it changes the way you hold yourself. I consider it armor because it has the power to give you the confidence and strength to feel comfortable in your own skin" (Cubacub 94). The fashion industry might work to become more inclusive of people with disabilities by creating pieces that are accessible and allow people to feel beautiful.

Radical Visibility is dressing to be seen. Wearing bold clothing and expressing yourself is being radically visible. Someone's fashion choices can show people insight into their personality and interests and even be helpful in finding other people who share those interests. Fashion can express how someone might want to be perceived. Not being able to express yourself through fashion because of brands that are not inclusive is heartbreaking because everyone deserves the resources to express themselves through their clothing.

Radical Visibility is to take more extensive measures to be seen as a community or engender change. Fashion is a form of self expression. By what we choose to wear we allow people to see parts of who we are. What we wear sends a message and using that to test the limitations of our society. With using models with disabilities they are showing their identities, trying to stand out, so people will acknowledge them. In this sense they are able to create a whole culture for themselves and highlight their differences.

As someone disabled, and trans, Cubacub feels that people who fall into either, if not both of these categories, are not encouraged to dress in a way that makes them stand out. Radical Visibility means making oneself stand out, going against the norm, and showing self expression without feeling negatively about it.

Personal identity within ANY community comes from fashion. Certain ways of dress have transcended style, and are used for religious purposes, as well as just self expression.

By catering specifically to disabled people, the fashion industry could become more inclusive, along with this, by involving more disabled people in catalogs, on the fronts of magazines, etc. it would also be more inclusive than just showing able bodied people.

What Cubabub means by the term 'Radical Visibility' is the representation of one's identity in a expressive and extreme approach. Fashion/expression correlates with personal identity by the freedom one has through the choice of clothing they wear as it can define who they are as a person and their interests. It can even serve as a message they want to portray. To make the fashion industry more inclusive, it can make fashion shows and runways more accessible. There could also be no limits or restrictions to who can attend shows and who can wear the clothes.

What Sky Cubacub means by Radical Visibility is portraying more disabled people in fashion spaces. It's more than about being seen though. It's about being understood and accepted within that space as well. Fashion shows your personal style that is unique to yourself. We may have similar styles but no one style will be the same. Fashion industries should make more clothes and give more opportunities for disabled people so they can participate in a meaningful way.
