         <description><![CDATA[<p>Day two - I think that biology is about understanding the fundamental functions of living organisms, from what I see in the outline we're going over things like the digestive system and equilibrium which are paramount for all living things to stay alive and healthy. We're also looking at things like the external environment and our interactions with it, and i think that one of the main themes is like really understanding the complexities of all life forms.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hydrothermal Vents; Trophic levels; ood chain</p><p><br/></p><p>Producers: Tube worms which have chemosynthetic bacteria that can break down the hydrogen sulfide molecules that seep out of the hydrothermal vents into energy that they can use, which provide a food source for the tube worms.</p><p>-&gt;</p><p>Primary consumers are the tube worms which have a symbiotic relationship with the chemosyntheitc bacteria.</p><p>-&gt;</p><p>secondary consumers are the carnivores which eat the tube worms for energy; such as crabs and shrimp.</p><p>-&gt;</p><p>tertiary consumers are the upper level carnivores that can eat the herbivores for energy. this includes octopus's and other apex predators at the top of the food chain.</p>]]></description>
