https://troymedia.com/2018/07/20/ai-advancements-impact-web-design/

The overall main points about my article were:

-AI can help web designers with little extra help in the tasks that you don’t want to be doing anyway

- AI can also analyze massive data such as emails, and pull everything that is important, Once AI has been trained to comb through these mounds of information, cross referencing it and pulling out everything that is important, there will be more actionable data to use for business

- If you are spending time doing things that you know could be automated, it can be very frustrating, and now later on with AI you don’t have to worry about that.

- At one point AI was seen as something that was going to replace web designers, but there is just some things that the human eye and creativity has to do.

- live chat software can replace hiring a real person, the software can answer many questions of a user without hiring a real life person. Giving users the experience they want without causing problems for your budget.

https://www.theedesign.com/blog/2017/top-web-design-trends-2018

-Newer websites are using simpler design formats for faster loading on phones, as well as in an attempt to avoid design brutalism.

-There is such a thing as too much for the user to take in at one time, essentially overkill and a waste of the designer’s and the user’s time.

-Logos are reverting back to simple typography, because they’re easier to read/understand and the subtlety stands out more. If a simple font just isn’t appealing, an animation can be added to draw attention to the logo without ruining the basic design.

-Homepages are gradually disappearing, seeing as the content they contain is usually just repeated on the pages they represent. Going with the increasing mobile popularity, a home page wastes data as it is usually skipped by the user, who just wants to get to the page they’re looking for.

-Voice searching is becoming more and more popular thanks to Alexa and Siri, but basic websites aren’t going to start using it anytime soon; sticking with a basic search bar if needed.
