Although the island is very picturesque, we have to pay a premium when buying fuel for the car. It's a nice looking area with a large park and historic places. The area became very popular among young professionals and students in the past few years. There is a hospital nearby, a couple of schools and a few dental practices. It's not as developed and busy as areas in the rest of the city, meaning there are not many places to go to and have a meal, coffee or get your daily shopping done. Our closest amenities are a GP surgery, lots of pubs and a little cafe. People that live in this area are mainly in high rise apartment blocks.Poverty is everywhere, and many people struggle to make ends meet. Although the part of the city in which I live was known as a deprived area for many years - improvements are now being made. We have an excellent public transport system and access to lots of space near the beach. With access to local playing fields and was provided healthy meals by my mum and dad (before his crash).
