It is a tradition my family has done almost every Summer for 34 years. It is always hard to come home from what feels like our second home and even harder watching my girls growing up so fast! ❤️

My husband, Michael, and I took a road trip to pick up a used wood-burning stove (just like the one we have, just newer) in New Hampshire. We old-school road-tripped all the way up there and through the New England states, staying mostly on back roads and eating out of a cooler! We even stayed at a great little Motor Inn. Maine is amazing and we can’t wait to go back. Then we saw my favorite band at Amerisbank Amphitheater in honor of my 50th birthday. Finally, we rounded out vacation with taking our son David to the beach! We aren’t beach folk, so that was different and thoroughly invigorating!

We traveled to South GA to visit family. We celebrated our baby girl turning another year older. Right when break started - we found out our dog has a life-threatening autoimmune disease that made us thankful we were home and not across the country somewhere. I’ve managed to grow a very large belly with baby boy getting bigger by the day. I’ve tackled some home projects as I’m in my nesting period of pregnancy, but I’m starting to feel like I’ll never get done with everything! While it’s been a bit of a roller coaster of a summer - I have much to be thankful for… 🤍

She spent 4 weeks in Ireland. https://padlet.com/mlane39/team_lane_padlet/wish/3042600062 I enjoyed getting daily updates and tons of pictures from my Daisy's trip to Ireland with Georgia Southern University at Wexford. I spend some sweet quality time with my son. Alex. and his wife, Mary. I got to visit twice with one of my Besties in Covington. And I also got to see lots of my super cute Browning Nephews playing Baseball at Mill Creek Park. Didn't get even half of my 'to do' list done, but it isn't going anywhere, so I will get to it eventually. :)

We enjoyed fireworks, lake/pool fun, bike rides and just trying to stay cool. Although it was fun, we are happy to be back home in our own beds, as sharing a camper with another family got a little crowded! :)

Rushmore & Acadia National Park. Since we're home this year - we considered going into town and watching fireworks like we used to before we began traveling in the summers. I was not feeling well that day (thanks to some kind of head cold) so we decided to stay home. At dark - my husband suggested we all go get in the pool and listen to the fireworks going off around us. Little did we know - we'd be getting a 360 view of our neighbors shooting off fireworks around our home. The grand finale was a neighbor shooting them off in the cul-de-sac in front of our house which gave us a front row view as they burst above our home. That was a first for us and was definitely worth adding to the memory bank!
