The monarchy lasted about 2000 to 800 B.C.E. so a monarchy is a place that is ruled by a king.
They did not let women be a queen.
The kings demanded the oldest son of the family. They conducted religious ceremonies. The word aristocrats came from the Greek word Best and the aristocrats where wealthy men who had big pieces of land. The aristocrats had little power but during the war times they heavily depended on the aristocrats. They realized as a group they where stronger than the king they wanted to have a share in the kings power. And in other city- states instead of a king they had people vote for a king and they limited how long someone can be king.
