    When power steering is faulty a sign to diagnose it will be when your turning with the steering wheel you will feel it want to kick back the opposite way your steering.


    When the steering column needs replacing sign can be steering wheel vibrations, tire wearing on one side more, strange noises and a off centre steering wheel.


    When the steering rack needs replacing signs can be loose steering wheel, power steering fluid leaking, strange noises and steering wheel feeling weird at lower speeds.

    Power steering fluid is a hydraulic fluid used in the steering system of a vehicle. It creates a link between the steering wheel and the front wheels, which decreases the amount of effort to turn the wheels either way.

    Differences between Hydraulic and eletric

    • Technology: Hydraulic steering uses a fluid-based system, while electric steering uses an electric motor.

    • Maintenance: Hydraulic steering requires more maintenance and fluid, while electric steering is newer and has fewer moving components.

    • Weight: Electric steering is lighter than hydraulic steering.
