1.  Making new friends
2. Sharing their culture and traditions with new people.
3. Stay connected with family and friends you left behind by Face-timing, writing letters, phone calls, emails etc.
When I left the Virgin Islands in December of 1994 and relocated to Tampa, Florida to further my education, it was difficult leaving my family behind and adjusting to my new home. However, the steps that I mentioned above helped with homesickness and getting comfortable in my new environment. I look forward to reading about your experience.

When I was moving to a new house I was very curious about what I was going to see. I was in a apartment now I live in a town house.I was 3 years old when I moved to a town house. I lived with my dad and sister at the apartment I was a little scared.But I was happy when I got friends. My first friend was Jerome 
I new him since football 2015.I was also new Lawrence since football to
then I met Adamaris then Tyrell then 
some of the 5th graders I new since pre k.I was here at Suitland pre k, kindergarten, 1st grade,2nd grade ,
3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade now.That is how I adapted to my home and friends.
