Theme of the tale from "The Wife of Bath." Not everything is as it seems and if you just look for the greater good you may just find it. Another theme would be that not everyone has what you have and not everyone wants what you want. A good example of this would be when the old lady saved the knights life but told him that he would have to marry her. He didn't realize it at that momemnt

In the pardoners tale the theme is money is the root of all evil. We see this in the story because the pardoner tells a story about these three guys dying because money. Then after he tells the story and he wants them to feel guilty and pardon them for their sins

In the Pardoners tale, the theme is friends should be chosen carefully, and are close enough to stab you in the back. This is a theme in the story because in the end of the tale, the three drunken guys are turning their backs on each other to kill one another and yet they all end up dying.

I chose the Pardoners tale. The theme to this is to never trust a fellow when Death has become a part of them and will always switch on you when it is for your benefits. An example is " the three of us together now, hold up your hands, like me,and we'll be brothers in this affair, and we will kill this traitor of death together." So they are all together now that they found gold under the tree they all switch up on eachother so the young rioter goes to town." To men in such a state the Devil sends thoughts of his kind, and has full permission to lure them to sorrow and perdition, to kill them" so money is a root of all evil and has made them change on eachother to kill.

The Wife of Bath's theme is power. Power was the overall theme because the Knight took the maiden's power by committing a horrible crime against her. The Queen was given power to decide the fate of the Knight. She asked the Knight to find out what woman desired. In the end, woman desired power and authority.

I choose the Pardoner tale, because they important part is he's trying to persuade you to thinking about money being evil and how you should get rid of it, so that's what people do. They buy into him saying all these things and he tells them he's scamming them, that he doesn't care about them only their money, that he doesn't care about what happens to them after death, yet they still give in to him. It's when he tells them his tale, that they fall for it and at the end they give him what he wants.

In the pardoners tale, three men go to look for death or what they call the grim reaper. By the end the find this old man, and he tells them death is under the tree up the hill. What is under the tree is a pile of gold. As money is the root of all evil. By they end all the men kill each other for the money. And by the end the found death.

In the Pardoner's tale the theme is greed is the root of all evil. One example of this is in the story the pardoner is supposed to be a religious man that cleanses people's sin. Instead, because of his greed, he manipulates people and takes their money in exchange of him "cleansing their sins". But he actually doesn't care about their sins. Another example is in the Pardoner's story the three men all kill eachother over gold. They weren't satisfied with just having a little bit of it they each wanted all of the gold to themselves.

The theme of "The Wife of Bath's Tale" is that you shouldn't judge somebody only on their appearances. I can see that because the Wife talks about a Knight who's meant to be trustworthy and chivalrous raping an innocent girl.
