         <description><![CDATA[<div>Gaining this territory allowed the U.S. to get 828,000 acres of land for 15 million dollars, which allowed settlers that would move there to have bigger farms.          <description><![CDATA[<div>French planters, and merchants that lived in Louisiana felt that their rights were not being protected,since they were only given a single judge in the executive and judiciary branch to have all the power, and they couldn't control it.
