When we go we normally bring a fishing pole just in case we find a river or lake. Our 4 year old german shepherd is always with us in our adventures. One of our favorite places to go us a hike in granite falls where at the top of the mountain is a lake! We are very conscious of the wildlife and are teaching our daughter about all of the plants and animals and how to treat them (not run at the animals or pick all of the flowers). We also enjoy camping. When we go we bring the bare necessities so we don't have any distractions and can full enjoy each other and the world surrounding us! We go any chance we can even if the weather is bad. We always take our 4 year old german shepherd with us! Our favorite place to go is in Granite Falls. At the end of the hike (top of the mountain) there is a body of water. We want our daughter to love the outdoors like we do and try to instill the importance of the animal and plants (not to scare the animals or pick too many plants). We also love to go camping and generally bring the bare necessities so we can enjoy one another and the world around us. We are very fortunate in that we have lake access at the end of our street. When we go we play in the water, swim, and take our kayaks out. We haven't gone to too many big parks but rather stay local.
