I think it is important for young people to keep the hawker culture alive to carry forward our nation's delicacies and remember what the street hawkers did in order to come up with delicious recipes.

The government improved hygiene by establishing public health practises, and regulating the cleanliness among the hawker stalls. A system which graded the hygiene of hawker stalls was also implemented, further improving its hygiene.

Problems with housing:

-Because the Kampongs were built with wood and packed closely together, fires would spread quickly across houses.

-Poor living conditions: As many people were living in one Kampong, facilities were not enough and this also caused overcrowding

Challenges in quick housing:

-Because they are rushing the process of housing, they may not have enough time to gather the resources needed for the residents or build quality houses.

-There were challenges in relocating slum residents, the backbone of the Singapore’s housing problem was broken.
