There are many sudden rain showers during early September.

Sunglasses, Sunscreen and a Hat are strongly recommended during the hot summer months. As well as keeping hydrated by drinking lots of water.

Tap water is not recommended, but bottled water is available for purchase.

The low crime rate of Corfu is slowly beginning to rise due to the growing population. Urban areas and resports have a higher risks of theft.

To prevent being a victim of theft, always lock up valuable items, keep your money in a safe place, and never put your wallet in your back pocket.

Women may expierence cat-calling or some harassment from men.

Although, Corfu is still one of the safest major tourist attractions in Europe.

With a "Grexit" from the eurozone an ever increasing prospect, banks remaining shuttered and concerns over shortages of basic goods, many will be questioning whether or not to cancel their trip. (Marissa Tejada and Barry Neild, CNN).

Who is/will this affect?: This affects the habitants in Greece, and will affect the tourists and travellers coming to Greece

What is the issue?: There is a money issue going around Greece because of the shortage of basic goods

Where is it happening?: All throughout Greece

Why is this happening?: Since there are shortages of money and imports, this is causing an econmy issue.

Some things to keep in mind if you are still travelling to Greece while this issue is still ongoing, is to bring some money with you. It may be difficult to take money out of bank machines, and some banks have put a daily $20 limit for withdrawals.

Day 2: Explore Corfu Town: A UNESCO World Heritage site since 2007, Corfu’s old town is a charming and historic place to start your visit to Corfu. Spend some at the Spianada, the largest town square in Greece, and check out other historic sites such as the Old Fortress, the St. Spyridon church and the Venetian citadel known as the Liston. Eat at Avli Resaurant Corfu, then head back to your hotel. (Soft adventure)
Day 3: Head to the top of Mt Pantokrator: If you are looking for breathtaking views of Corfu, take a day to climb to the top of Mount Pantokrator, the tallest peak on the island at nearly 3,000 feet.  A walk all the way up the mountain and back down again will take an entire day, but you can also drive as far as the village of Old Perithia and continue on foot from there. Old Perithia is worth a visit in its own right as the oldest mountain village on Corfu. After this, you will take a taxi to La Tagliata in Italy and have an all paid for dinner there. After that you will take the taxi back to your hotel and sleep for the night. (Hard adventure).
Day 4: Relax at the beach: Stay in Corfu Town and spend the day at Glyfada beach, with its golden sand, dramatic cliffs and lively atmosphere. If you’d prefer to venture further afield on the island, head to the village of Paleokatritsa, which features five picturesque beaches, as well as the oldest diving center on Corfu. Families may prefer Acharavi beach on the northern end of the island and those looking for some peace and quiet might opt for Avlaki beach, a small pebble beach with just a few villas and traditional tavernas. You will eat at one of the many restaurants along the strip, and then head back to your hotel for the night.

Day 6: Take a break: For your sixth day, you will drive or taxi to one of the little villages and walk along the paths and tour many of the little houses that have become show houses. You can walk along some of the eco trails, and learn about the history of Corfu. You may eat at the small Café near by, for less than $20 a person. Then head back to your hotel. (Soft adventure).
