Another group were working with the Umoja Project and also split into three groups helping local families. Each group installed much needed solar panel lighting in homes, including the building of a large chicken coop. Lots of sawing and hammering, plus some electrical wire work. Very tough in the heat but they all got stuck in and did a great job. They should be proud of themselves!

Another group of the students went off on safari. More photos to come!

At the coffee plantation, students were all very interested in hearing about the coffee production process and learning about the uses and benefits of some of the other plants and trees in the region.

The Umoja students sang and danced, plus gave the group a fashion show of Tanzanian clothes. It was an emotional goodbye for many students, but emphasised how much impact working on the project had. Seeing first hand the students and community who will benefit from all the hard work really makes it hit home.
