1. Do you believe you have ever stereotyped someone (or treated them differently) by his or her accent or speech pattern? If so, how? I think I have neglected to interact with some with an accent before due to not being able to completely understand them.

2. Is judging someone based on his or her accent or speech pattern different from judging that person based on his or her appearance? No, it is very similar because you are judging someone not on their character but on how they talk or look like.

3. Can you think of examples of this that you have seen or experienced? When people will mock someone with an accent and say the phrase again in their accent

4. Which of the terms above do you think this is an example of? Explain... This is racism because it is judging someone based on how they talk which is very similar to judging someone on how they look and where they are from.

1. People assumed that the woman was just trying to get her bike and even went as far as helping her.

For the white man they didn't say anything or intervened and just walked by sometimes assuming he was stealing it and other not.

For the black man it was assumed he was stealing the bike and a crowd gathered around him trying to stop him from stealing it.

Showing how people will have bias towards you based on what you look like.

2. Seeing that someone is good at something and instead of thinking that they must have put in work to get there they use stereotypes to justify why they are good. As shown in the Jewish basketball players article about how people used the stereotypes to say how they are good.

3. The police stop article shows how cops will see a minority driver and make assumptions that they must be doing something suspicious or illegal.

4. People will get more callbacks for a job if they submit a "whitened" resume and a white name

5. A study showed that immigrants with lighter skin were often treated better than immigrants with darker skin.
