What my organisation can offer: As the national theatre we can offer access to high quality performer arts and arts projects. We are intersted in colloborations and in giving voice to communities who have previously been ignored. We would value the opportinuty to share our work with other organisations whether that be through providing tickets to our productions or working together through our Theatre Skills for Business projects.  

What I need: I would like to maintain the connections made through this course. I am especially intersted in peer to peer mentorship and what we can do together long term in regards to supporting eachothers professional goals. I would welcome an in person group meeting once social restrictions are less strict.

I am a producer with comprehensive experience of the broadcast, independent & commercial media sector. My skill-set is focused on creative thinking, idea development and content creation & production.  I am happy working as part of a team or leading teams with honesty and clear direction.

We endeavour to make content with heart and character that educates, entertains and is appealing to a variety of content and commercial partners. We have forged a niche developing projects that integrate brands/organisations with modern media content.
What I need?

I would like to stay connected with the great network of people on this course. I am keen to experience career opportunities outside of television where I can utilise my skill-set. I would like to meet new organisations/people to understand their challenges and where I might be able to help them in the future. A group meet-up when possible would be great to celebrate this unique experience.

 What I need: Coming recently from England, I am keen to develop my professional network in Ireland.  Being part of Common Purpose has given me the opportunity to meet lots of great people.  It’s a shame that not more of it was face to face and I look forward to the time when we can get together in person.

What my organisation needs: Clúid is working to get a number of green initiatives off the ground, under the heading ‘Build Green, Be Green, Live Green’.  These focus our attention on our properties, the way we carry out our work and supporting our 18,000 tenants to reduce their individual carbon footprints. The Energy Cloud is an ambitious project aimed to enable people in fuel poverty to access the wind turbine electricity which is being ‘dumped’, due to lack of demand, during the night.  A huge push is needed to overcome the inertia of all the organisations in the supply chain, and I’d be delighted to talk with anyone who has connections and influence.

 

There’s also the issue of the recent re-classification of AHBs onto the government balance sheet, in contrast with most other EU countries where the borrowing is off balance sheet, which means that in Ireland, we are now competing (unnecessarily) with all other government activities for funding.  This will have the tendency to reduce our ability to address the chronic housing shortage.
