It is also known as the "History Capital of the Philippines" as a great number of well-known heroes hailed from this province namely Emilio Aguinaldo. Candido Tirona, and Mariano Trias. Caviteños were instrumental in preserving Philippine independence by rejecting attempts by Spaniards and other colonists to annex the country.

These figures show that the province has the ability to grow its economy through agriculture growth and that it will continue to provide enough food to sustain the growing population.

Despite the existence of several laws and rules governing garbage disposal, it is one of the most critical challenges in Philippine cities. Under Provincial Ordinance No. 43-S-2008, the local government of Cavite drafted the Environmental Code. Articles on waste management, air, and noise pollution management, and environmental impact assessment are only a few of the code's highlights. Garbage disposal in Cavite is a major concern, despite the existence of environmental codes and regulations. As of June 2020, the status of Cavite’s sanitary landfills falls short compared to the other municipalities and provinces in CALABARZON. There are only 2 LGU-owned landfills: operational and ongoing construction. While there is only 1 privately owned landfill: closed. In addressing this issue, we are decreasing and eliminating the negative effects of waste products on human health and the environment. This allows the promotion of economic growth and a higher quality of life.

Dela Cruz regarding the Solid Waste Management Practices of Selected LGUs in Cavite. The study looked at the current solid waste management techniques in the province of Cavite's three fastest-growing cities: Bacoor, Dasmarinas, and Imus. Secondary sources were used to obtain information, with particular attention paid to published documents. The results demonstrate that there is a dearth of equipment and facilities to carry out the practices that are required by law. Furthermore, regulatory and enforcement powers, as well as public education, awareness, and participation programs, are not being properly applied.

Incineration
Incineration is the process of burning waste at a high temperature (rapid oxidation). With this technology, organic constituents in waste materials are being destroyed. Incineration systems can reduce the volume of waste by up to 96 percent. Even though incineration does not eliminate the need for landfills, it does help to reduce the amount of waste that ends up there. Garbage can also be converted into energy which can be utilized to produce electricity or heat. Other advantages include uncontaminated groundwater, effective metal recycling, production of methane gas is prevented, and so on. Although, there are still downsides in utilizing this technique. Since smoke is produced in the burning process, nitrogen oxide, acid gasses, heavy metals, particulates, and carcinogen dioxin are produced by the smoke which is detrimental to the health of the environment given that it is poisonous. Furthermore, long-term problems may arise as waste reduction and recycling are not encouraged in this process. The ash waste can also cause potential harm to the environment and its people.
