The author categorized it as unfreedom and freedom. Cell phones have evolved over time to adapt to humans. Today, cell phones have the ability to be used in multiple capacities. Unfreedom consumers are considered naive as they are seeking simplicity. Unfreedom consumers literacy skills are weakened as they depend more or imagery than literature itself.This can be seen as a distraction. On the other hand, freedom consumers have control over what they choose to engage in on cell phones. Consumers comprehension can improve as they can choose what to engage in and what is best for them. They choose to seek this attention and not let it become a distraction.

The dynamic model of attention also allows us to move, not entirely into the world of the screen, but actively between virtual and non-virtual worlds (Stochetti, 2020). Technology is constantly evolving and it is important that consumers evolve too. Comprehension skills can always be enhanced with the proper platform whether that is with the use of cellphones or hardcopy book.

Being unfamiliar with many if them, it was challenging to follow at times. Also, the examples provided to prove the author’s point was not always clear. The same examples could also be applied for freedom consumers, it just depends on one’s perspective of cell phone use.
