I also decided that for my project, I want to tell a story, since that’s what I did on the end of the world project, which was the one that I enjoyed working on the most.

However, this time, I had the idea to make art out of how ancient stories inspire pop culture.
With that in mind, I started a rough draft of my mind map, with some stories I want to research and include on my pecha kucha presentation. However, that meant changing the draft I had done before completely, so I had to redo my first draft.
In the afternoon, I got to do some researching, but I still didn’t start to work on the PowerPoint presentation, which is something that I want to do as soon as possible, in case I have trouble with it. I decided to make a big mind map using fake spider webs since, on my last progress tutorial with Carlos, he said he thought I was going to create something “strange” because of the items I included in the list of things that I liked.
However, I wasn’t satisfied with how my webbed mind map turned out, I thought it still lacked something, so I took a picture and decided to edit it to look more cartoonishly creepy. I also started editing the picture, making the final version of the expanded mind map, and I think I like how it’s turning out.

I think it ended up looking good enough and, even if I wasn’t sure of how to decorate the reference post-its, the idea of putting a small drawing made by each artist was not bad.
While working on this project, I realized that I still don’t really know what I want to do for my part 3 project, but I am not as worried about that as I was before. I also questioned her and Roger Basseto about what to do to feel more motivated and both of them told me to practice more, so I have been tracing over some reference pictures I got from google to try and understand human anatomy a little bit better, since that’s something I struggle with.
