Thanks to the current globalization of the world, the holiday can be observed in many places around the world, with various cultures putting their own take of what 'scary' means! some of the activites performed in Halloween include Trick-or-treating, lighting jack o' lanterns (Carved pumpkins with lights in them), playing pranks, and visiting 'haunted' attractions. One of it's most notable activities is trick-or-treating, in which a group of people dress up in costumes of a character and travel from house to house asking for treats with the phrase 'Trick or treat'. It is overall, a very scary holiday that can bring out people's imaginations to life, even if they are scary.

- Orlando Sánchez

The holiday is celebrated from November first to November second. The origins of this celebration go back 3,000 years, to the rituals honoring the dead in pre-Columbian cultures. Some pre-columbian tribes held a cyclical view of the universe and saw death as an integral part of life.
