Not onerous - any written feedback is valuable to the pupil, so that time spent marking is not wasted. 
Some recognition of the positives - not just when something needs correcting - a chance to celebrate the achievements, even if it’s a thumbs up, stamp or verbally. 
Providing feedback instantly and at a later date as this can aid retrieval, retention and consolidation of new skills.
