Students know what the expectations are. When they get off task I try my best to remind or redirect them without embarrassing or punishing the student. Respect is key in the classroom. I respect my students they respect me. If I show that I respect all students they respect them too. I reward students with choice and activities when they are doing what is expected of them.

A respectful classroom is one where students are tracking each other and listening to the speaker.  A respectful classroom can sound a variety of ways depending on the activity, but students are never talking over one another.   A respectful classroom is one where students feel safe taking risks and are helpful towards one another.
