         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Step 1:</strong> Collect tiny objects that you find around your house: paper clips, pennies, Legos, dried beans, popcorn kernels, beads, etc.  </div><div><strong>Step 2</strong>:  On a piece of paper, trace a circle (I used the lid of a pot).  Don’t have paper big enough?  Cut up a brown paper grocery bag!  </div><div><strong>Step 3:</strong>  Starting at the center, arrange your materials in a pattern and work outwards.  Mandalas have <strong>radial symmetry</strong> meaning that top, bottom and each side are the same.  </div><div>Step 4:  Take a picture of your mandala and share it with me!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Many artists have created art by wrapping an object in a material like fabric or plastic.  For example, in 1995 the artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude wrapped an entire building in Germany for 2 weeks!<br><br>Your art challenge is to make a sculpture by wrapping an object.  You will need:</div><ul><li>a piece of fabric (or something like tinfoil or plastic wrap)</li><li>string, tape (or both!)</li><li>an interesting object of any size</li></ul><div><br></div><div>Wrap your object in the fabric.  Secure it with tape and string.  </div><div>How has your object changed?  If you want, draw your object before and after it was wrapped.</div>]]></description>
