Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics offer more and more job opportunities from 2003 to 2013, the percentage of people working in the STEM sectors has increased by 12%, a triple compared to the total employment growth in the European Union. Occupations in this sector now account for 7% of available jobs, and the demand for competences related to these disciplines is increasing, especially in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in 2020 there will be more than 700 thousand skilled IT staff. Many initiatives have been developed in the "Month of STEMs" promoted by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, an initiative which also aims to stimulate passion for these areas so that more women can choose them for their future career formative and professional, thus overcoming a still very strong gender gap.
